Hi, I’m Siobhan Buddrige, and I’m obsessed with colours and texture and helping clients to create personal spaces that lift their spirits and therefore have a positive effect on wellbeing.
I grew up in Hertfordshire and had an interest in property from an early age, forever redesigning the layout of my bedroom and was fascinated by architectural drawings that my father used to have from various building projects. Throughout school I never considered design as a career, focusing more on becoming a travel agent! It wasn’t until after I had my first child that I decided to take it one step further. I returned to college, followed by university and gained a Foundation & Batchelor of Arts degree in Interior design, this was done while raising my four children and renovating my properties. I opened Alchemist’s Interior Design Ltd for business in 2007 focusing purely on interior design and working with local tradespeople to complete the projects.
Then in 2013 I set up my soft furnishings workroom and began to make clients curtains to their unique specification. With a growing demand, this became the next progression for the company. Having always made my own or had my nan make my curtains it seemed the natural progression of the company.
Alchemist’s Interior design specialises in soft furnishings. It works with a range of private clients and professional designers to provide bespoke soft furnishings for their projects which I love!
Although most of my work is carried out in the south-east of England, I have completed project on the Isle of Skye, Paris, and Sans Sebastian. I have been lucky enough to combine my passion for interiors and travel, one that I wish to explore more in the future.
If you would like to make an appointment to meet me in the workroom or arrange a site visit with the mobile studio, please call Alchemist’s Interior Design on 01908 394308.
